Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) at the Common Facility Centre (CFC) of Soft Toy & Sports Wear Cluster, Shajapur



From 30th October to 10th November 2023, Sathiya Welfare Society successfully organized an Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) at the Common Facility Centre (CFC) of Soft Toy & Sports Wear Cluster, Shajapur. This activity, supported under the SFURTI Scheme of the Ministry of MSME (GoI), aimed to equip 50 artisans with essential skills in business planning, marketing, financial management, and enterprise development. The program was inaugurated in the presence of Mr. Sandeep Kumar Suman (Program Manager, Sathiya Welfare Society), Shri Mukesh Meena (Local Entrepreneur), and Mr. Mangilal Jadhav (CDE, Soft Toy & Sports Wear Cluster, Shajapur). Through expert-led sessions and hands-on learning, artisans gained valuable insights to help them start and manage their own enterprises, further strengthening the handicraft and garment sector in the region.
Exposure Visits to Embroidery & Stitching Clusters – Bhopal & Vidisha



Shajapur, Sathiya Welfare Society organized two Exposure Visits in April 2023 to provide artisans with hands-on learning experiences from well-established clusters. Batch 1 visited the Embroidery, Zardozi & Stitching Cluster in Bhopal (13th-14th April), where 20 artisans learned intricate embroidery techniques, Zardozi artistry, and advanced stitching processes. Batch 2 explored the Stitching & Embroidery Cluster in Sunpura, Vidisha (17th-18th April), where artisans gained insights into modern stitching machinery, quality control, and collaborative production practices. Coordinated by implementing agency Sathiya Welfare Society in collaboration with its Technical & Nodal Agencies, these visits provided artisans with exposure to market trends, technological advancements, and sustainability practices, helping them to enhance their skills, creativity, and competitiveness in the industry.
Awareness Program on Formation of Marketing Consortium




On 20th October 2022, Sathiya Welfare Society successfully conducted a Marketing Consortium Awareness Program at Village Jethda, Shujalpur, District- Shajapur. With attendance of 70 artisans from Soft Toy and Sports Wear Cluster, the program focused on key marketing aspects such as product quality, pricing strategies, sales channels, customer feedback, and market demand & supply. Sessions led by Marketing Expert Mr. Vishal Saxena, Technical Agency Representative Mr. Furkan Khan, and Implementing Agency Representative Mr. Sandeep Kumar Suman, provided valuable insights to help artisans enhance their market presence and business strategies. This initiative aligns with our mission to empower artisans with the knowledge and skills necessary to expand their reach and improve their livelihoods.
Interface with Bankers – Empowering Artisans with Financial Knowledge



On 3rd May 2023, Sathiya Welfare Society organized an Interface with Bankers session at Village Jethda, Shajapur, under the SFURTI scheme of the Ministry of MSME (GoI). The program aimed to educate 100 artisans of the Soft Toy & Sports Wear Cluster about various banking schemes, financial services, and credit opportunities to support their businesses. Senior officials from Madhya Pradesh Gramin Bank, including Shri Gopal Singh Chauhan (Branch Manager) and Shri Balmukund Patidar (Field Officer), provided insights on ATM usage, Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Atal Pension Yojana (APY), Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY), and Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana (SSY). Facilitated by Sathiya Welfare Society, the session with bank officials helped artisans understand how to access financial support, improve banking literacy, and leverage government schemes for business growth and financial stability.
General Awareness, Motivation and Trust Building








Sathiya Welfare Society, under the General Awareness, Motivation & Trust Building initiative, successfully conducted a series of vibrant and impactful community engagement programs for over 500 artisans of the Soft Toy & Sports Wear Cluster. These events were thoughtfully aligned with national campaigns like Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and aimed at instilling confidence, spreading awareness, and fostering unity among artisans and youth.
The series began with National Youth Day on January 12, 2022, where artisans and youth participated in a mass yoga and Surya Namaskar session. The momentum continued with Umang, a creative Rangoli competition that celebrated artistic talent among young girls and artisans. On Makar Sankranti, a Kite Flying and Gilli Danda competition was organized, filling the sky with colors and the community with joy. National Girl Child Day on January 24 saw a strong message on gender equality with artistic Rangolis and inspiring words from dignitaries like MoS Shri Inder Singh Parmar. The final leg of the initiative included a multi-department awareness program at Jethda village, where officials from Police, Health, WCD, and Aajeevika Mission interacted with artisans, discussing topics ranging from safety, health, and nutrition to women’s rights and empowerment.
Together, these programs created a vibrant platform for learning, celebration, and community bonding — reinforcing Sathiya Welfare Society’s mission of empowering artisans through awareness and social engagement.
